GLO's Homeowner Assistance Program in Houston

Due to an ongoing lawsuit filed by the City of Houston to prevent the GLO from rebuilding homes within the city limits, the GLO is not currently able to accept new applications for assistance (as of July 23, 2020). In accordance with the court decision, most Houston homeowners with a remaining Hurricane Harvey Housing need who already submitted applications to the GLO will continue to be processed by the GLO until further notice.  Applicants the GLO is unable to serve due to the City of Houston’s lawsuit will be notified by the GLO. If you have questions about the GLO’s housing assistance program, please contact 346-222-4686 or 1-866-317-1998 (toll free).

Applicants who requested assistance from the City of Houston’s Homeowners Assistance Program, and have not been contacted directly by the GLO, will continue being served by the City of Houston. These applicants should request updates on the status of their case from the City of Houston's Harvey Homeowner Assistance Program: https://recovery.houstontx.gov/hoap/.
